Any coin that pays its holders on Pons, Flywheel or Flap. You seed it, it is locked for 48 hours, then it is yours again. You earn half of the vault's fee forever.
Points go to the people who keep coins in the vaults. Season 1 starts with the first vaults; points turn into the airdrop at the end of the season.
You earn points for every day your coins sit in a vault. More coins, more days, more points. Opening a vault and bringing deposits into it earns extra.
The exact numbers are published here when the season opens.
Deposit a coin that pays its holders. Get a share token. Every payout is sold for more of the coin. Your share is worth more coins over time.
Each vault holds one coin and nothing else. The coin sits in the vault contract, which is an ordinary holder of that coin, so the coin's rewards arrive in the vault. The vault code is Yearn's audited V3 vault, unchanged. Withdrawals can never be paused by anyone, and no key can move deposited coins anywhere except back to share holders.
A keeper bot runs report on each vault. The vault claims its rewards, sells them on the coin's own pool for more of the coin, and books the new coins as profit. The sale never goes below a 10-minute average price minus the pool's own fee and 1% slippage, and never takes more than 0.5% of the pool's depth in one go. Profit unlocks to share holders over 10 days, so the share value rises smoothly.
5% of the rewards, taken at each harvest as vault shares. Nothing on deposits, nothing on withdrawals, nothing on your principal. Half of the fee goes to whoever opened the vault, half to the treasury.
Anyone can open the vault for a coin, once per coin. You seed it with coins worth at least the minimum for its reward asset, the seed is locked for 48 hours, and you earn half of that vault's fee forever.
The coin itself can go to zero; the vault only changes how many coins you hold, not what they are worth. A platform can stop paying rewards to the vault; then the share value stops rising but your coins stay yours. A guardian key can stop new deposits in an emergency; it cannot stop withdrawals.
